A controlled rupture where compressed mass releases into motion, scattering fragments across a suspended field.

The composition is structured around a vertical axis that fractures at its center, releasing energy outward in a controlled yet visible burst.

Reclaimed textiles — cut, compressed, and partially burned — form a dense upper mass that gradually destabilizes. At the point of tension, the structure breaks open, giving way to an explosion of splashes and dispersed fragments.

The patinated surface absorbs this moment of release, maintaining a sense of stillness despite the visible impact.

Below the rupture, fragments descend, suspended between fall and elevation, extending the movement beyond the initial break.

This work captures a decisive moment within the series — where pressure can no longer be contained, and transformation becomes irreversible.
